Community organizers use advocacy campaigns as a way to influence political change and drive awareness around issues at the local, state, and federal level. Advocacy campaigns build power through coalition, political education, and more.

Participants will learn:
- How to build out successful grassroots advocacy campaigns
- How to identify and work effectively with coalition partners who can support your goals
- How to utilize media and outreach materials in advocacy campaigns
- How to effectively mobilize community efforts
- How to "center" Black people in grassroots advocacy
- A clear definition of organizing, power, and equity
- A structured methodology for base building and leadership development
- An understanding of how organizing leads to systems change
- An understanding of trauma aware leadership
